My favorite animal – foxes. I have been lucky enough to see them in the wild a few times. They are beautiful and stunning. I have always keeps a running collection of fox images and wears. Here is a round up of some fox logos that I’ve found while poking around on the internet various times.
While working on a project for a mobile application I ran into a problem. How we were going to do some initial user testing with only wire frames? To the rescue came Mockabilly. “Mockabilly creates interactive mockups upon whatever design you’ve made. Easily sync or upload your designed screens into mockabilly, and create instant iPhone mockups with genuine behaviour. You can even create mockups on the fly or last minute. Mockabilly helps you engage and rock your audience”.
For a quick mockup without having to use any code to see how our application would look on an iphone, Mockabilly was a life saver. So, if you ever need a code free way to see how some wire frames or how your user interface design will look and somewhat function – Mockabilly is a great answer. It is very basic so don’t expect it to do any advanced type of functions, but for something quick and basic it is great. The only other down fall was that it is not available for android. The video below is from their website to give you a general idea of what the app is about.
Ever run into a problem when your working with CSS and you are looking for just one shade darker or lighter? If so 0to255 is the perfect tool for you. Simply pick and color and enter the hex number. 0to255 will display all the colors variations of that color for you. It comes out as a pretty gradient. I could see this coming in really handy in some cases. I love finding great tools like this.Try it out!
Pinterest was freaking out and creating glitches that look pretty awesome. Luckily I got some screen shots – see above and below. I kind of wish it would glitch again.
Winter has been too long this year. I feel spring approaching with the melting snow and the slightly warmer temperatures. I’ve been noticing the bright pastel colors coming out for spring particularly in jewelry. I put together a wish list of some pieces that stood out to me. Any of the pieces could start out as great inspiration pieces for a color pallet, or they would also add a bright pop of color to a more neutral outfit.
I wish I could live in every Ferm Living photograph. The new Spring/Summer 2013 catalog is no exception. There products have a classic Scandinavian design mixed with retro elements, but are always modern and crisp. I wish I had tons of money to fill my home with just about every product. For now I’ll just have to keep admiring them from afar.
Alpacas keep seem to be popping up all over to me lately. Not to be confused with llamas, they are are domesticated for their hair – that is similar to wool. They sure can be cute. Here are some alpaca goods I wouldn’t mind having around. Some are alpacas others are made from alpaca wool.
After a snow storm post-poned the originally meeting time of AIGA Wisconsin’s Small Business Panel Discussion it worked out that I could attend at the rescheduled time yesterday, March 20th. There was a lot of great advice shared by the panelists – Kari Kay, Matt Everson, Neille Hoffman and Kenneth Kornacki. Even though I don’t plan on starting a small business anytime soon, it was still packed with good information. Not to mention it was at the very cool studio of Planet Propaganda. Making AIGA events isn’t always easy being in Stevens Point, but I’m glad I made the 2 hour drive for this one.
Wow! That’s all I have to same when I came across the Am I Responsive? website. Just type in your URL and click GO! You’ll be able to view your site in a desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile view. No more screen shots back and forth to Photoshop. Just one click and you have it right there. I can’t think of anything better.
